Atlanta Gastroenterology Specialists (AGS) is a medical practice lead by Dr. Steven Sangha and Dr. Bruce Salzberg, dedicated to providing the highest quality care for patients suffering from digestive disorders. Dr. Salzberg and Dr. Sangha have served the Atlanta area for a combined total of 30 years. The practice is located in Suwanee/Johns Creek area.
Dr. Salzberg is recognized nationally and internationally for his work in the field of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. He pioneered the The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center, where patients are treated holistically from a medical, nutritional, and psychosocial standpoint. The center was the first in the USA to receive national recognition as an AGA Center of Excellence for treating IBD. His efforts in clinical research have advanced the treatments of many digestive diseases.
Dr. Salzberg is excited to announce that Dr. Sangha has joined AGS. Dr. Sangha is a respected gastroenterologist who has practiced in Atlanta for several years before becoming part of AGS. He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at Emory University and then moved to Dallas for his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern. Afterward, he completed his gastroenterology training at the University of Cincinnati, where he served as chief fellow. He stayed as an assistant professor serving as the IBD clerkship director and conducted numerous IBD clinical trials.
